February 2010

+ Menfriends closes February 22 after major earthquake that closes CBD and destroys 1700 buildings. All clients and staff escape un-harmed, building suffers no extra damage after previous earthquakes but inside a scene of destruction.  No further access achievable.
+ www.altsexcafe.com online back in business selling full product range online and through door sales from owners home.
+ 3 key Team members retained for re-opening.

November 2010

+ A new building on the fringe of the CBD is secured with possession date early 2012.
+ re-launch of new website www.menfriends.co.nz

January 2012

+ Take possession of new building marking the start of rebuild
+ Start purchasing new plant and machinery for venue
+ Consult with community leaders, NZAF and other leading thinkers for planning/design of new Menfriends
+ Engage structural engineers to inspect and recommend addtional measures (if any) to ensure new building is to at least 100% of Building Code for earthquake protection.

February 2012

+ Gib stopping, old chattel removal and first phase of painting underway.
+ Music and DVD library under development.
+ Engage contractor in negotiations for construction.
